Timothy Gordon is a founding principal of Aria Development Group and is a member of the Investment Committee. Mr. Gordon shares responsibility for all acquisitions, development and asset management. Mr. Gordon also supervises Aria’s operations and taxation department.
In addition to being a Principal at Aria, Mr. Gordon is also a partner at Gordon Properties. Gordon Properties owns and manages garage, commercial and residential buildings in Manhattan. The holdings of Gordon Properties include Meyers Parking, 441 Lexington Avenue, 860 Broadway, 821 Broadway and 135 5th Avenue. At Gordon Properties, Mr. Gordon has been involved in the repositioning of the firm’s Union Square portfolio. This work included extensive refurbishment projects, some requiring Landmark Preservation Committee (LPC) approval, as well as lease-up assignments. The Union Square portfolio includes mixed use residential rental and retail properties as well as mixed use office and retail buildings. Mr. Gordon is currently leading Gordon Properties development of a 175,000 square feet mixed-use, multifamily rental and parking facility in New York City.
Prior to founding Aria, Mr. Gordon worked in distressed advisory and investments. He served as a partner at an equity and distressed debt hedge fund and as an analyst at a turn-around private equity firm. Mr. Gordon began his career in the restructuring department of The Blackstone Group.
Mr. Gordon received a B.A. from Harvard University graduating cum laude and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
